How Ghost Works

Create your Ghost identity without relying on a phone number or email.

02 - Connect

Find and connect with other Ghost users through their Ghost ID.

03 - Start Chatting

Send messages, media, make calls, and create groups.

04 - Take Control

Use disappearing messages and Panic Mode to control your local data.

05 - Set Up Your Wallet

Activate Ghost Wallet and receive your NPUSD wallet.

06 - Fund Your Wallet

Top up your wallet. Your deposit is converted into NPUSD.

07 - Start Using Ghost

Send, receive, request, split bills, and withdraw funds.

Your first 5 minutes

01 - Create Your Ghost ID

Start by creating your identity

When you first open Ghost, you'll be asked to create your Ghost ID.

Your Ghost ID is how other people find and connect with you. You don't need to use your phone number or email address.

What to do:

  1. Open Ghost and click Generate Ghost ID.
  2. Start with creating your display name.
  3. Create your PIN.
  4. Confirm the PIN.
  5. Save your recovery code and download the QR code.
  6. Once your Ghost ID is created, you'll be ready to connect with other people.

Tip: Your Ghost ID is unique to you, so keep it somewhere safe if you need to share it with someone.

02 - Add a Contact

Connect with someone using their Ghost ID

To start a conversation, you need the other person's Ghost ID.

You can either scan their QR code, let other people scan your QR code, or enter their Ghost ID manually.

To add by using a Ghost ID:

  1. Press the + button on the bottom right.
  2. Tap Add Contact.
  3. Tap Scan from the top menu.
  4. Paste the Ghost ID on the bottom.
  5. Ghost will recognize their ID automatically.
  6. Add a nickname.
  7. Start chatting.

To let others scan your QR code:

  1. Press the + button on the bottom right.
  2. Tap Show QR Contact.
  3. Let others scan your QR code.
  4. They have to message you.
  5. Press Add Contact.
  6. Add a nickname.

To scan a QR code:

  1. Press the + button on the bottom right.
  2. Tap Add Contact.
  3. Tap Scan from the top menu.
  4. Point your camera at the other person's Ghost QR code.
  5. Ghost will recognize their ID automatically.
  6. Add a nickname.
  7. Start chatting.

03 - Create Your Ghost Wallet

Keep your payments inside Ghost

Ghost Wallet lets you send, receive, request, and manage digital payments without leaving the Ghost ecosystem.

What to do:

  1. Press the Wallet tab from the bottom navigation bar.
  2. Create your Wallet Username (this has to be unique).
  3. Start using Ghost Wallet.
